I feel it is important to always stress and provide Digital Citizenship. In today's world everyone just about is using the computer for social, work and school. Life online is similar to life off line in the fact that you make it to what you want it -- You follow different procedures to make your life safe -- to be nice & how to act appropriately online
I agree with you that we should have the same standards for appropriate behavior both on and off line.
Students learning to "be nice" when commenting on anyone else's work, pic, etc. is an important skill beginning at a young age. Cyber bullying is happening everyday in this Country.
It's important to teach students how to use computers in a safe manner. Three important rules for very young users are to make sure parents or teachers allow internet access, don't give out personal information, and don't give out student number or user name.
